Human Derived Collagen
Fillers offered by Dr. Kelly include human derived collagen with a lasting quality of about 3 months. This collagen does not come from bovine or cow sources but rather is human based and prepared to eliminate disease or problems. It does not require testing as it is inert and of human origin. Cosmoplast is used by those looking to increase definition in the lip area.
Restylane or Juvederm is a filler option derived in a laboratory of naturally occurring skin components. It softens sharp lines of the face, corrects thin lips and and softens lines around the eye area. Lasts between 4-6 months.
Sculptra, the best volumizer on the market, is used in our "liquid facelift" procedure to address fat loss and the sallow or gaunt look. Patients who benefit from this product are those who have started to see the drop of the cheek pad, the onset of the jowl and the tired look below the eye area. Generally 2 injection sessions are needed but longevity is between 18 - 36 months.
Radiesse is perhaps the longest lasting filler currently FDA approved and active on the market. It has been used in medicine for many years and is a component of bone substances. While the areas for its use are limited, it has revolutionized the softening of the nasolabial fold (laugh lines). It has a lasting quality of about 2 -3 years. Injection of this substance requires a numbing injection first.
Botox™
The magic bullet when it comes to helping with upper face wrinkles - such as those lines around the eyes at the "crows feet" area, the frown line between the brow called the "11" and the vertical lines of the forehead. This product is injected very gently an in micro-dilutions without danger of spreading anywhere or causing troubles. The injection softens the skin by relaxing the underlyingmuscular system. The injection lasts for about 3-5 months. The ideal candidate wants to see a relaxation in the upper face - often times they are accused of being angry or tired looking.
