Part I: Our Ears and the World of Sound.  Join us for Part I of this informative three part series and learn about one of our greatest senses - our hearing.  Find out how the ear works, and what happens when we have hearing loss.  You will learn all about the process of hearing and the important part our brains play in our ability to hear.  Presented by Dr. Barbara Prestano of Peconic Ear, Nose, Throat & Facial Plastic Surgery, this seminar will be informative and helpful and will answer the questions that we all have about the wonderful sense of hearing.

Part II: Technological Advances in Hearing HealthcareThe Latest and Greatest in Hearing Aids.  Join us for Part II of our three part series on hearing healthcare presented by Dr. Barbara Prestano, Director of Audiology at Peconic Ear, Nose, Throat & Facial Plastic Surgery.  This seminar will focus on the latest and most advanced circuitry and options available in today's hearing instruments.  Learn about what hearing aids can and cannot do and what we can expect from them  Topics will also include hearing/listening strategies and how to get the most from your hearing aids.  If you are currently wearing hearing aids, or if you think it might be time to consider getting help for your hearing loss, then don't miss this informative seminar!  Brochures and information will be provided.  All attendees will receive a voucher for a complimentary hearing screening.

Part III - Hearing Aids are Not the Only Answer.  Presented by Dr. Barbara A. Prestano, Director of Audiology for Peconic Ear, Nose, Throat & Facial Plastic Surgery, learn how you can improve your hearing, even without hearing aids!  Hearing aids are a small piece of the puzzle when it comes to improving our hearing.  There are other things that we can do or that we can use that can provide improvement in our ability to hear and communicate.  Dr. Prestano will share her experiences on what works and what doesn't, as well as teach you about different listening strategies and ways to improve your communication environment.  If you currently wear hearing aids, are thinking about it or you know someone who might need help, then this seminar will be very educational!
 

Aural Rehabilitation Class

An educational class provided for new hearing aid users and their families, as well as for those people interested in learning more about what hearing aids can do and what to expect from them - RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.

Offered in the Aquebogue Location the last Monday of every month from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm

Offered in the Southampton Location the second Wednesday of every month from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
