Barbara Prestano, AuD
Dr. Prestano is a licensed Audiologist an Hearing Instrument Specialist in the state of New York and is board certified by the American Board of Audiology. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Auditory Society.

 

In addition to being the Director of Audiology for Peconic Ear Nose Throat and Facial Plastic Surgery, she is an adjunct professor in the Speech and Hearing Department for St. Joseph's College and Adelphi University in New York, as well as for Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa AZ for their on-line internet based doctoral program.

Dr. Prestano has been helping people to hear better for over 17 years. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech pAthology from Hofstra University in NY in 1986. She went on to receive her Master of Science degree from Central Institute for the Deaf, a division of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis Missouri in 1991. She then received her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology, the AuD, from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, a division of Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2003. She has been an educator for many years, providing training and seminars in hearing and hearing loss. She is an advocate for those with hearing difficulties, focusing on patient education and satisfaction.

 
 

 

Jennifer Lohr, MS, CCC/A
Jennifer obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2003 and her Master’s Degree in Audiology in 2005 through Adelphi University. She joined our staff in July of 2005 and completed her clinical fellowship year in 2006.

Jo Ann Wood, MA, CCC/A

Jo Ann is happy to join our staff and complete her clinical fellowship year at Peconic ENT. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication from St. Joseph's College in 2005, and obtained her Master of Arts Degree in Audiology from Hofstra University in 2007.

 

Jo Ann is a wife and proud mother of three. Her dedication and passion for audiology is inspired by her husband who is hearing impaired, and her youngest child who is deaf and has bilateral cochlear implants. Jo Ann has been a guest speaker several times for different organizations to openly discuss her personal experiences. She has also provided inservices for school district personnel regarding hearing loss, hearing aids, FM systems , Baha and Cochlear Implants.
